Shipping Policy — Midlands Freight Solutions
1. Scope
This Shipping Policy explains how we handle shipping services including timelines, tracking, responsibilities and delivery terms.
2. Services covered
Covers international freight forwarding (sea/air), courier & express delivery, warehousing and last-mile delivery as described on our site.
3. Transit times
Transit times depend on service type, origin/destination, customs clearance, and carrier schedules. Estimated transit times are provided in quotes but are not guaranteed. Delays due to weather, customs or unforeseen events may occur.
4. Customs, duties & taxes
Import duties, taxes and customs clearance fees are the receiver’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed. You must provide accurate commercial invoices and documents to avoid clearance delays.
5. Packaging & prohibited items
Shipper is responsible for correct packing and labelling. We do not accept dangerous, illegal, or prohibited goods. For a list of restricted items consult our sales team before booking.
6. Loss & damage
Report loss or damage immediately upon delivery. Preserve packaging and evidence. Claims procedures and timelines will be provided; documentation will be required for any claim.
7. Delivery attempts & storage
Carriers may attempt delivery multiple times. Unsuccessful deliveries may result in storage charges or return-to-sender fees billed to the shipper/consignee.
8. Changes & cancellations
Changes to shipment details may be possible before pickup. Cancellation fees may apply depending on the status of booking and carrier policies.
